Jazz Cat Poster

I created this poster especially for Charlie Scott’s, a Copenhagen pub that’s meant a lot to me over the years. It’s one of those rare places where the music, the people, and the atmosphere just come together perfectly. If you’ve ever climbed the stairs on a jazz night, you know exactly what I mean. For more than 15 years, Charlie’s has been a gathering spot for jazz lovers, with a deep affection for the sounds of New Orleans—funky, soulful, and full of life. Many amazing musicians from New Orleans have played there, and I wanted to capture a bit of that magic in this piece.

The poster shows three cats jamming in front of a soft New Orleans sunset—one on upright bass, one on sax, and one on trumpet. And yes, they’re cats because, well… in jazz, the coolest players have always been called “jazz cats.” This is more than just a poster—it’s my small tribute to a place that’s given so many people unforgettable nights of music, conversation, and connection.

The poster itself is created in Adobe Fresco, Illustrator, and InDesign. The artwork is a combination of vector and pixel brushes.
